Snapshot January 31, 2026

Worry seems to be the current mood of the market, though the Easton Episcopal Fund has managed to buffer the noisy uncertainty through careful allocation and continual attention. As you can see in the attached monthly review, the month-to-date gross return for equity is 2.47% while the total gross return is 1.75%, a result of the ballast (which is a good, steadying thing) that the fixed income brings to the table. The steadfastness of the members of both the Board of Managers and the Investment Advisory Board,* none of whom receives any compensation for their dedicated attention to the Fund, coupled with investment and financial experience have together proven beneficial to the Fund and therefore its shareholders. Even so, no one takes the performance that the Fund has enjoyed since inception for granted. While shareholders may be buffeted by the news, they can rely on the fact that the Fund is managed by those who have both experience and an understanding of parish missions and needs since all are members of parishes of the Diocese of Easton, MD.

Vice Chair Chris Maxwell, founder of the Easton Episcopal Fund, will deliver the year-end Fund report at the Diocesan Convention at the end of February.
